Chappelle’s Show characters cross over with House of the Dragon (SNL)

Silky Johnson, Rick James, Tyrone Biggums and Rick James are available now “Game of Thrones” canon. The original “Chappelle’s Show”Characters were resurrected to a very special purpose “House of the Dragon” sketch on “Saturday Night Live.”

Dave Chappelle returned to Comedy Central as host and brought back three characters he created in his sketch series. It ran from 2003-2006 on Comedy Central. The show’s opening monologue, in which Kanye West was ridiculed for his antisemitic remarks, saw Chappelle return to the podium.

“Anyone out here watching this new show, ‘House of the Dragon,’”Chappelle asked the crowd to raise their hands, mic in hand. “I am the biggest ‘Game of Thrones’ fan, I love their new show. And I got to tell you, I love that they’re including Black characters. But to be honest, the Black characters … they take me out of it a little bit. It’s that blonde hair and old timey accents. It’s a little jarring, where are these people from?”

He then set up the SNL. “House of the Dragon”Sketch dotted with “Chappelle’s Show” throwbacks. Silky Johnson was first, who was reunited to original cast member Donnell Rawlings. Then, Tyrone Biggums and Rick James made cameos. Rick James was complete with a Targaryen blonde hairdo. Ice-T made a quick appearance. “Larry Targaryen.”The sketch ended with James and Johnson flying off on the backs dragons, Biggums kicking their feet over the saddle and James shouting his catchphrase into the sky.

Chappelle has not forgotten his older characters. “SNL.”In 2016, the comedian recreated “The Walking Dead”With several “Chappelle’s Show” characters. The entire clip is available below.
