Cathy Rodda, Lisa Duff Board Film Bazaar Project Honour’

Cathy Rodda, one of Australia’s most prominent producers, is (“Unfinished Sky”Lisa Duff (“Last Cab to Darwin”) are joining Anupam Sharma’s English and Hindi-language “Honour”The film project is heading for Film Bazaar (Nov.20-24, 2022 in Goa, India).

“Honour”This social thriller is based on real events. It tells the story of a bride who travels to Australia with a million hopes and dreams. But soon, her nightmare turns into a nightmare of domestic abuse and dowry. After being caught in a web of deceit greed visa regulations and pressures to preserve the honour of her family, her own family and the Australian Indian community, the woman decides she will run and has to give birth.

The film is in its final stages of development. It will likely be shot in Victoria.

Forum Films has acquired distribution rights to Australia, New Zealand Fiji Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Fiji Islands. Janine Barnes will be the producer. Rodda, Sharma, and Duff will be the executive producers.

The film is based on true events after years of research which makes it all the more real.”

Rodda previously also co-produced Finnish-German-Australian fantasy-drama “Iron Sky,”It premiered at Berlinale 2012. After four years working in production investment at Film Victoria, she founded Cathartic Pictures in 2020.

Duff’s producing career spans over 20 years. Duff’s credits as a producer include feature films “Last Train to Freo” “Sexing the Label”SBS. others. She is currently the head of scripted at EQ Media Group.

Sharma is currently finishing post-production on feature documentary “Brand Bollywood”Co-writer, editor Karin Steininger, and producer Claire Haywood. He is currently in production on feature film. “Framed,”With development investment from Screen Australia, Screen NSW, and Screen Australia.
