In his 1988 action movie classic Die Hard,Bruce Willis portrays Detective John McClane. He made a promise. “I promise I will never even think about going up in a tall building again.”
That cinematic vow is well and truly deserved. Emma Heming Willis’ wife captured the 67 year-old actor on Instagram during his return to Nakatomi Plaza (City, Calif.), also known as the Fox Plaza building. The film, which has been endlessly replayed on TV over the years, shows McClane’s efforts to take down a group of terrorists who have taken over the hi-rise and captured hostages. Many people consider the film a Christmas movie because it takes place on Christmas Eve.
Heming Willis shared the footage of Willis as a return clip. Willis is shown taking in the surroundings while standing on top of the skyscraper. Die Hard film. The soundtrack accompanying the video features the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s version of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.”
Earlier this year, Willis’s family announced that he would be stepping away from acting following an aphasia diagnosis, a disease that affects expression and comprehension.
