Broadway to host the Classic Western ‘High Noon’ in 2023

“High Noon,”In 2023, Broadway will be presenting the classic Hollywood Western featuring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly.

Cooper starred as a town marshal, who rises up to the occasion to confront a gang at noon. Stanley Kramer produced the film, which was directed by Fred Zinneman. The film won four Academy Award nominations. For its historic and cultural significance, the Library of Congress placed the film on the National Registry of Movies in 1989.

According to Hunter Arnold and Paula Wagner, the Broadway production will be the first Western play to make its debut in Broadway for more than 85 decades.

“When Eric Roth presented his vision for a stage adaptation of High Noon, I immediately saw the potential for a theatrical presentation of the iconic story about doing the right thing in spite of public opinion and external pressure,”Wagner stated.

The dates, additional design teams, casting, and theatre venues will be announced at a later time.
