BRITAIN’S biggest pumpkin caused traffic chaos when it fell off its trailer.
Supersized squash weighing in at 2,565lb fell into a hedge while on its way to festival.
It was rescued with a telehandler in Southampton and it survived.
Ian Paton, 61-year-old, who grew the pumpkin with twin Stuart, stated: “We were moving it into another car park, and it was so weighty that the trailer tipped.
“There will be many photos taken, I’m sure. It’s not often that you see a pumpkin such as this.
“I am certain it will go viral now, but that’s all good publicity.
“Thankfully, the pumpkin was not severely damaged and no one was injured – it did get a few bruises, but nothing serious.
“It will now be going on display at Sunnyfields Farm where everyone can come and take pictures with it.”
