Bob Saget passed away doing what he loved, making others laugh. In a January 5 interview on News4JAX — his last — Saget spoke about his “I Don’t Do Negative”He had just performed a comedy show for his Florida tour and he was sadly no longer able to continue it. Saget spoke out about the driving force that drove his passion for comedy. “Everywhere where you are, you’re making people feel better, and that’s my job.” Saget also discussed why he eschews politics and religion in his routine. “I don’t want dissension in the room,”He said. “I just want to make people have a good time and have a good night out.”Saget was, in hindsight, excited to get on the road the next day. He shared that he was leaving tomorrow to be there so he could be. Saget said, “I’m going to Orlando and then I will be coming right to Jacksonville.”

The comedian also spoke out about his mentor. “American Bandstand”Lew Klein, producer and professor at Temple University. Saget stated, “You’re gonna cause me to cry, he was like my dad,” adding, “Lew Klein cared so much about students… He would talk with me and then we lost him not too long ago, which is very sad.”
