BigHit confirms that BTS has a mandatory military service schedule. Jin was the first to enlist

BigHit Music has confirmed that BTS is enlisting in Korea’s mandatory military service. According to the Korean government’s enlistment process, the two-time Grammy nominated South Korean Kpop band will be enlisting. Here’s all we know about BTS’ enlistment schedule and mandatory military service.

BTS’s announcement of military service was made after their Busan concert on Oct 15th, which attracted more than 50 million viewers. BigHit Music had already announced the news. .

BTS confirmed for mandatory Korean military service

According to BTS’ label BigHit Music, BTS will be starting their Korean mandatory military service this year with Jin’s enlistment.

The label Noted, “Group member Jin will initiate the process as soon as his schedule for his solo release is concluded at the end of October. He will then follow the enlistment procedure of the Korean government. Other members of the group plan to carry out their military service based on their own individual plans.”

Although the members will not enlist, the announcement says that they will be following an established schedule and will return together as a unit within three years.

How long will be BTS’ military service?

BTS will follow the standard military service procedure. This means that each member will serve 18 months in the military according to Korean government rules. BigHit Music assured fans that the group would reunite by 2025.

“Both the company and the members of BTS are looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment,” The label states.

Since the announcement of the military, BTS ARMY has been flooding Twitter and posting positive messages.

Speaking of Bangtan’s reunion in 2025, a fan Gushed, “I’ll be with you for the rest of my life – For Youth, ARMYs will wait for you at the magic shop door until we meet again @BTS_twt.”
