BATTLEFIELD 2042 has been pushed back a month, but fans are hoping for a surprise beta drop today.
EA announced that the delay was last week and that the game will launch on November 19, rather than October 22.
After news about the delay, Battlefield 2042’s beta was scheduled to launch today. However, Tom Henderson, a Twitter tipter, posted some updated beta dates.
He said that the beta has been delayed to October 6 for early access and October 8 for open beta.
Fans speculate that the original beta dates might be pushed back by an updated Battlefield 2042 Amazon listing.
Henderson shared a screenshot of the listing from Amazon which you can check out above.
It states that pre-order customers get early access to the site if they place their order before September 23.
It states that codes will be sent within 24 hours of the early access date.
Henderson adds that Amazon has “started to give out codes for pre-orders.”
He says that while he doesn’t want to get his hopes up, “a ‘surprise’ Beta drop with the original dates would be awesome right about now.”
DICE hasn’t commented on the beta dates at all, and it certainly looks like today would’ve been the day for the beta rollout after all.
Due to the large file sizes of Battlefield and CoD, it is unlikely that DICE would release a’surprise Beta’.
It is possible to pre-download the beta before it goes live so players can get in on the action immediately.
We’ll need to wait to see if this is an Amazon error.
It’s unlikely that Battlefield fans will be disappointed if this happens.
