Arvin High School reacts to an alleged bullying video in the midst of internet outrage

After capturing an Arvin High School student being bullied, a TikTok video went viral. This triggered a wave online outrage.

An alleged bullying incident at California’s Arvin High School has been caught on camera resulting in massive backlash from parents and the online community.

TikTok posted the video. It shows a student being surrounded by his peers while he shaves. You can see bystanders laughing and filming the situation, leading to demands for the proper punishment.

Arvin High School responds in kind to bullying incident

This video seems to show Arvin High School students shaving another student’s head, leaving him with bald patches. He can be seen wiping away tears as the original TikTok claims he’s being “pressured into doing stuff.”

Flor Santiago, mother of the bullied student is calling for punishment but also added that Arvin High School had apologised for not reaching her.

The student’s aunt also told 23ABC: “They [the bullies] cannot continue to hurt others.”

In a statement TwitterArvin High School indicated that they were investigating the situation. The school wrote: “In regards to the recent events at AHS, please know the school has taken and will continue to take action.

“We appreciate your strong emotions and anger toward this incident; the staff at AHS share your feelings. We do not condone these actions and please know we do educate against bullying.”

Erin Briscoe-Clark, Kern High School District’s public information officer, said: “When students breach the boundaries of acceptable behavior they will be held accountable for their actions.”

HITC has reached out to Arvin High School’s principal for comment.
