Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be planning on spending the Christmas holiday with the royal family, author Katie Nicholl told Closer. Although things have been difficult between the Sussexes, the family and Oprah Winffy, Nicholl believes that the Christmas visit could help heal the rift. “Christmas is being looked at as an opportunity. There may be a softening, which could pave the way for a healing of the family rift,” Closer spoke with her. “It’s certainly what the Queen wants. Prince Charles would like to see his grandchildren. A meet-up suggests they hope to move on and sort things out,” She added.
It’s possible that Harry and Meghan will attend the queen’s platinum anniversary celebration, which is scheduled to take place in June 2022, even if they are not traveling to the UK for Christmas. According to Elle, the queen has extended an invitation to the Sussex family, but it’s unclear if they plan on being in attendance.
