*WARNING: Spoilers ahead for The Santa Clauses*
It’s been 16 years since we last caught up with Tim Allen’s Scott Calvin in 2006’s The Santa Clause 3 but now Disney+ is bringing the beloved character back for one last festive adventure.
The new series sees Scott considering retirement as he starts to realize that he can’t be Santa forever in order to give his family a normal life and so a search begins for a potential successor.
Scott and Carol have had two children since we last saw them. Buddy (aka. Cal) and Sandra but this has left fans wondering about the fate of Scott’s first son, Charlie, and whether he appears in Official Trailer series.

Charlie in The Santa Clause franchise
Charlie Calvin is Scott’s oldest son from his previous marriage to Laura.
As a young boy, he appeared in the original 1994 movie. Scott took him to the North Pole and he helped Scott become Santa Claus.
The second film shows Charlie as an older man who struggles with Santa Claus’s reality. Scott was frequently absent from Charlie’s lives and he was unable tell anyone about his father’s job.

Yes, Charlie does appear in The Santa Clauses.
Eric Lloyd, 36 years old, plays Charlie again after first appearing in the film at age eight.
In episode 2 of The Santa Clauses, Scott learns of the Secessus Clause, which would allow him to retire from being Santa, and while his new Chief of Staff, Betty, prepares a list of potential successors, Scott already has a candidate in mind, Charlie.
Scott visits Charlie to propose that he become Santa Claus. We learn that Charlie has a wife, and a family.
Charlie doesn’t like the idea, as he wants his children to have a normal life. Marie, however, is not happy with the proposal.
This is because Scott, her father, is Santa Claus.
Where is Eric Lloyd right now?
Eric Lloyd had a very promising career as an actor for children, but he has only played a handful roles since The Santa Clause trilogy.
In 2011, he played a minor part in ChromeSkull: Last Rest 2. While in TV, he has appeared in True Perfection and Weedland as well as the TV short Comic Conventions.
The bulk of Eric’s time is now focused on running Lloyd Production Studios, a studio space in Glendale, California that he opened in 2015 and caters to all manner of production and post-production needs for film, TV and music.
