Andrew Marr Quits BBC After 21 Years

One of the BBC’s veteran presenters, Andrew Marr, is leaving the corporation after more than 20 years.

The host of “Andrew Marr Show”BBC One, a Sunday morning staple, reported on Friday that he had joined media org Global. There he will continue to write and present for different programs as well newspapers.

“After 21 years, I have decided to move on from the BBC,”Marr made the following statement via his Twitter account: “l leave behind many happy memories and wonderful colleagues. However, I will be moving to Global in the New Year to present and write political and cultural programs and write for newspapers.

“I think British politics and public life are going to go through an even more turbulent decade, and as I’ve said, I am keen to get my own voice back. I have been doing the Andrew Marr show every Sunday morning for 16 years now and that is probably more than enough time for anybody!”
