On Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars”Finale: Shangela, the drag queen, was one of four final couples competing for Mirrorball trophy. She addressed the mass shooting at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ club that left 13 people injured and 5 dead.

“The emotions have been heavy because there’s a lot going on in the world, in our country.”She called Club Q the attack “a horrible tragedy.”Anderson Aldrich opened fire on the venue after it had hosted a drag event.

“Baby, let me tell you, an attack on the LGBTQ community cannot be supported, cannot be loved. This moment right here is about sharing more love and less hate and hopefully we can start celebrating each other’s differences and not being divided. Our hearts and condolences go out to everyone whose lives were lost, who was affected. But just know, there is hope, baby.”

Aldrich is currently facing five charges of first-degree killing and five of bias-motivated crimes causing bodily harm. CNNReport on Monday.
