ALTON Towers is introducing a terrifying new attraction for Halloween.

The audio experience, called The Invitation, takes place in darkness and guests enter a burial chamber.

According to the theme park, “Guests are invited visit the Lakeside Cemetery mausoleum. There the friendly funeral director is dying and waiting to meet you.”

“Enter the vault to choose your final resting place but proceed with caution, you will not be alone, some caskets have already been filled and their occupants are keen to meet you.”

Chris Carter is Alton Towers Resort Events and Entertainments director. He said, “We are excited about bringing a brand new terrifying scare attraction to this event, as well the return of our highly-popular scare mazes and other family attractions.”

“We remain committed to creating a much-needed form of escapism for families and thrill-seekers across the UK and beyond.”

Alton Towers’ Scarefest Halloween Event is now in its 15th anniversary.

The Scarefest runs from October 7 to October 9, and October 14 to October 31.

The Attic: Terror of the Towers will also be back this year, as well the pirate-themed Darkest Depths.

Altonville Mine Tours. Uncover the Legend of the Skin Snatchers. Trick O Treat Town is also available with HARIBO.

You can book Alton Towers overnight stay at Cbeebies Land Hotel or Splash Landings Hotel if you want to stay longer.

Alton Towers Hotel has a variety of themed rooms. This includes the Bing-themed rooms that opened in this year.

This year’s Halloween events are not only for Alton Towers. Other UK theme parks have also announced them.

This year marks the 21st year that Thorpe Park has held its Fright Nights celebration.

Legoland’s Brick or Trick celebration runs through October. It includes a 4D movie. ‘The Great Monster Chase!’The show features a cast made up of Lego Monsters.

And from October 15, Chessington World of Adventures will be hosting its Howl’o’ween event, which sees the return of some family favourites, as well as some new attractions and activities.
