Akron Children’s Hospital on lockdown after girl, 4, ‘killed and man hurt in shooting when gunman fired into crowd’

According to local reports, a HOSPITAL has been placed under lockdown following the death of a four year-old girl and the critical condition of a man who was shot in large crowds.

After the event, the police took the little girl to Akron Children’s Hospital. There they asked for people to remain put.

The Summit Hill neighborhood was the scene.

Lieutenant Michael Miller confirmed that the Akron police had declared the girl dead on the spot.

Another 40-year old man was taken to Akron General Hospital. He is now in critical condition. WKYC reported.

Officials claimed that the shooting was unrelated to ongoing demonstrations.

Reports say that protestors are gathering after Jayland Walker’s shooting death.

Walker, unarmed, was killed in more than 60 shootings following a chase in Akron on June 27, according an autopsy.

Cops stated that the 25 year-old refused to stop his vehicle, and he fired a weapon just before he was killed.

Pictures showed Walker dead and handcuffed at the scene, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s report which was obtained byCNN.

There was blood on his driver’s license and in the handcuffs.

Walker was covered in numerous gunshot wounds on both his left and right sides.
