Conservative pundit Ben Shapiro called out former President Donald Trump for mocking Gov. Ron DeSantis as “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
“There is is, Trump at 71. Ron DeSanctimonious at 10 percent,”At a Saturday rally, the ex-president spoke out while discussing the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary. Though DeSantis hasn’t confirmed that he will run, he and Trump are widely considered to be the top contenders for the Republican nomination.
After Trump’s offensive against DeSantis, several conservative commentators, including Ben Shapiro turned on him. Shapiro tweeted that Trump had “no discipline”Thanks for the comments. He also called out his questionable strategy in making fun of a popular Republican presidential candidate.
This comes at a less than idea time for Trump, as he is reportedly set to announce his candidacy for 2024 Thursday, shortly following Tuesday’s midterm elections. If Trump runs, DeSantis will not be running.
