After Drago Spinoff news drops, Sylvester Stallone has more un-nice thoughts about Rocky Producers

It has been 40 years since its conception. RockyThe franchise continues to grow, thanks largely to the Creed movies. It was also reported this week that The DragoThe spinoff is moving forwardThanks to a significant hire, they were able to achieve this feat. The man who birthed the franchise, Sylvester Stallone, isn’t too pleased, though. Stallone recently posted an unhappy message about how he doesn’t have ownership of the boxing franchise. And after this latest offshoot was reported to be in the works, the 75-year-old actor shared some more not-so-nice words for the series’ current producers.

Sylvester Stallone has specifically taken issue with veteran producer Irwin Winkler and his son, David, who’s currently spearheading the franchise. In his recent post, Stallone claimed that the two haven’t actually contributed anything substantial to the long-running film series. Oscar nominee Stallone claims that Robert Chartoff, the late producer, was the one who made the most of the film’s production. David Winkler was even called a star by the nominee. “remarkably untalented and parasitical”Producer, who is supposedly the reason why there are more Rocky sequels haven’t been made.

In another message posted to his account, the Hollywood veteran doubled down upon those sentiments Instagram. In his statement, he stated that the producers were again moving forward with a production without his input. He addressed fans directly and mentioned the actor who brought Ivan Drago into being.

Another Heartbreaker… Just found this out…ONCE AGAIN , this PATHETIC 94 year old PRODUCER and HIS MORONIC USELESS VULTURE CHILDREN, Charles And David , are once again picking clean THE BONES of another wonderful character I created without even telling me … I APOLOGIZE to the FANS , I never wanted ROCKY characters to be exploited by these parasites… By the way, I have nothing but respect for my true friend , Dolph Lundgren.

Dolph Lundgren talked about the possibility of a spinoffLast year, he stated that he believed that such a thing had been in development. He proved to be right. Robert Lawton is writing the new project, which impressed MGM with his work in writing the spec script. Becoming Rocky(which focused only on the making of 1976’s original film). The plot details of the movie are currently being kept secret, but they will be focusing on Ivan. Drago, who was given a redemption arch of sorts in 2018’s Creed II.

The third installment of the Michael B. Jordan-led franchise has already been shot and is currently under post-production. However, Creed IIIHit a setbackIt was recently delayed from November 2022 until March 2023. Details on the story haven’t been revealed, but what is known is that the movie will introduce a new sparring partner for Adonis. The role will be played in part by Jonathan Majors, who’s opened up about getting punchedin the face to the role.

Sylvester Stallone seems to be going to continue taking jabs as long as the opportunity presents itself. Rocky franchise’s producing team continues to branch out. Stallone won’t be back for Creed III and, if things keep going in this direction, it’s hard to say if he’ll ever reprise the role of the famous Philadelphia-bred fighter again.
