After a long court battle, Mohamed Hadid’s $100M illegally built mega-mansion will be torn down

After a decade-long legal battle the $100 million megamansion that Mohamed Hadid illegally built, which is also the father of model Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid has been ordered to be demolished.

The construction of the mammoth glass structure in Bel Air (California) was done without permits. This led to a judge declaring it a clear, present and imminent danger to the community.

The property was referred to as the Starship Enterprise by angry neighbors who were scared heavy rains might cause a landslide and send it plummeting to the houses below.

The giant property was to be sold by the real estate mogul, but the legal battles meant that it remained unfinished for 10 years.

The property was bought by five million-dollar developers who agreed to tear it down in order to build a smaller, more intimate family home.

Hadid, who was accused of building a home that was larger than allowed by city codes five years ago, pleaded guilty. Inside Edition reported that Hadid was wrongly accused, and that the demolition disturbs him.
