Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli and an ex-member of A$AP, has come forward to claim that A$AP Rocky shot him last November. Rolling StoneHe learned that he intends to sue his high school friend for civil damages.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested in April for assault with a deadly weapon over the alleged shooting, with police withholding the victim’s name. Mayers has not been charged in the matter, but he will appear in court on August 17.
Ephron, however, has publicly accused Mayers of trying to lure him to a secret location in central Hollywood. “to discuss a disagreement between the two of them,”According to a statement, Rolling Stone by Ephron’s attorneys Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz announcing the lawsuit.
“Unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron, A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversation and came armed with a semi-automatic handgun,”This statement is false. “After arriving at the location, a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”
Ephron is a producer and talent manager who also works in fashion and jewelry ventures. Mayers, according to Ephron’s statement, caused minor injuries to Ephron’s left hand. The entire incident was caught by nearby surveillance cameras.
The shooting was first reported in April by Mayers, who was arrested just after landing at LAX with Rihanna, his girlfriend from Barbados. This had happened weeks before Mayers and Mayers were due to have their first child together.
After posting a $500,000 bond, Mayers was released quickly from jail for assault with deadly weapon. Mayers has not yet publicly addressed the incident. Mayers’ lawyer, Alan Jackson, did not immediately reply to a request for comment.)
