Austin Police held a news conference to praise the girl this week, claiming that she escaped after three suspects abducted her.
“She made a plan,” said Officer Callie Wolfe. “She persuaded them to allow her into the store.” She said she needed to use the restroom,” Wolfe explained. “Once inside the store, she ran to the back of the store and found a place to hide.”
Police said that the girl had asked for employees’ help and they made a call to 911 for assistance.
