A man makes an app to track when TikTok couples have split.

TikTok has seen a new trend of people declaring to have found their soulmates, even though they plan to remain single after getting rid of their toxic ex-partners.

But is it likely to last? One TikToker has the solution.

Ethan Keiser looked at 500 top videos that were associated with the trend to see if they were still together six years later. “soulmate”The app.

He explained that Rebound was an app that tracks the relationship.

By plugging in the couples’ Instagram handles, Ethan can judge If they’re still together based on whether or not they still follow each other.

Ethan gets a push notification if a couple is unfollowed, possibly after a breakup.

He takes it one step further and validates his findings.

He swoops into their DMs a few days after the Instagram breakup to compliment their TikTok video. According to him, he got a 30% response rate to DMs the day after the breakup.

According to him, nearly 40% of the “soulmate”Relationships ended within 24 hours.

Ethan concluded: “Not only were most of them not soulmates, they were also already moving on and responding to DMs.”

It has been watched almost 3.2 million times, received nearly half a million likes and 6,000 comments since its upload a day ago.

“This is top tier nosy,”One viewer wrote.

“Bro is a dating detective,”Another joked.

Popular TikToker Daniel Mac tagged Tinder and stated: “Hire this man for your code”.

Since the video took off, Ethan created a form so those interested in downloading the app for themselves can be notified when it’s live.
