A horrified family says they don’t know how many bodies are in the boxes they bought at a Storage Wars-style auction

A FAMILY discovered dead bodies inside cases that they won in a Storage Wars-style sale.

When they began to sort through the contents of the abandoned storage unit they purchased at an auction last week, they made the shocking discovery.

Buyers cannot inspect the contents of a unit before they bid.

After being summoned by shaken buyers to inspect their home, cops arrived at the property at noon on Thursday. Neighbors had reported that a foul-smelling odor was emanating from the house.

Officers have opened a murder probe, and they are believed to be looking for a serial killer.

A close relative admitted that they have no idea how many bodies were involved in the case. New Zealand Herald reports.

The man, who is a close family member, said that his relatives were “doing alright”But they fled their home after being the center of attention.

The man was unable to answer a question about how many bodies were inside the suitcase.

“I can’t answer that. I wouldn’t have a clue anyway. No, I don’t think they know either. I don’t think so,”He said.

“Our priority is to confirm the identity of the deceased. Results of further tests and examinations are still pending.

Witnesses said they saw three hearses at the house Thursday night, as police cordoned off and removed the remains.

A neighbor said that there was a strong stench emanating from his house. He suspected that the bodies were in the house. “diced up”.

Safe Store Ltd., the boss at the storage unit company, confirmed that his business was cooperating with police in their grisly investigation.

“We won’t say anything because it is under police investigation, and we are cooperating with police,”The director stated.

As forensic workers searched the area, a cordon was erected around the house.

An examination post-mortem is currently being performed on the remains.

To recover some rent unpaid, companies often sell off abandoned units. This practice inspired the TV series Storage Wars in the USA.

The California series, which began in 2010, has been in existence for more than a decade. The latest series will be in 2021.

When rent has not been paid for three consecutive months, storage units can be auctioned off.

Buyers have five minutes to view the contents, but are not permitted to enter the storage area or open any boxes.
