A 10-episode continuation has been confirmed

Alchemy of Souls is back after a short break and fans are happy to hear that season 2 of the series has begun filming.

Alchemy of Souls is now able to sit on top of the K-drama community alone, with the end of Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

This hit series has enjoyed remarkable success in South Korea, as well as internationally. The series is available via Netflix for two episodes each week.

Netflixreturned this weekend after a short quality control break but with only three episodes left, fans are delighted to hear that season 2 has already been greenlit – and has even started production.

Alchemy of Souls Returns after Quality Control Break

Alchemy of Souls went on surprise break last week. Both South Korean and international viewers had to wait patiently for the episode 17;

According to a statement by the production team, this is via SoompiIt was “to enhance the level of completion for the second half.”

Following tomorrow’s broadcast, there will only be one week left of the Korean series before the season finale – but there is some excellent news regarding season 2 already!

Already confirmed is season 2 of Alchemy of Souls

Returned on June 14ThNaver News, published four days prior to the series’ premier, reported that Alchemy of Souls would be broadcast over two parts – season 1 with 20 episodes and season 2 with 10 episodes.

Park Joon-hwa, Director of the Korean Institute for Peace was quoted as saying “When writing the script for the first time, there are various stories, the narrative is interesting, and there are sharp conflicts and various stories about relationships and stories about each family. I didn’t have time to do fun with the tiki-taka.”

“There are so many changes and variations in our narrative, so I thought I wanted to put a human story in it. I’m still writing the script for part 2, but it’s in progress. A story that can be contained. It was more difficult than I thought to put the narrative and relationship story in 20 parts, so I made the decision early on.” – Park Joon-hwa, via Naver News.

Filming the second part of the Alchemy of Souls Kdrama reportedlyProduction started in July. However, no details are available about when it will end.

Naver News has a blog that addresses this issue. Claim “The production team plans to air the 20 episodes until the 28th, and then bundle the remaining 10 episodes at the end of the year and air them as part 2.”

What is the current rating of K-drama?

Alchemy of Souls received an extraordinary response from fans in South Korea as well as around the globe.

Domestically, the series has been ranked the most-watched program block (both nationally and in Seoul) during its entire broadcast. Peaking with episode 16’s outstanding 1.926 million viewership.

Internationally, K-drama has been well-received on many user-based feedback sites. These include a score 71% Rotten Tomatoes8.6/10 IMDB, 9/10 MyDramaList90% AsianWiki.
