5 Netflix releases everyone will love next week

As another week draws to a close, it’s time once again to offer our curated look at five of the biggest and most interesting Netflix releases hitting the platform over the coming week.

And, as always, this guide is meant to complement our other regular Netflix coverage, including the weekly and monthly rundowns of new releases that you’ll also want to check out.

Locke & KeySeason 3 release date

For this weekend’s look at some of the upcoming big new Netflix releases to put on your watch list, though, we begin as noted above with the third and final season of Locke & Key. This fantasy series is about three siblings and their mom who move into an ancestral home. It’s based on a graphic novel series. The children discover magic keys that unlock secrets and unlock powers.

This Wednesday, August 10, 2010, here’s what Netflix says you need to know about the third season.

“The Locke family uncovers more magic within Keyhouse, while a new threat — the most dangerous one yet — looms in Matheson with plans of his own for the keys. From Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), Locke & Key is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family.”

Day Shift+ More Netflix Releases

Next on the list are the most recent Netflix releases. Day ShiftThe movie starring Jamie Foxx about a vampire hunter living in Los Angeles, is now available. August 12.

J.J. Perry is the director of this movie. He spent a lot of time as a stuntman, and later as a second unit director creating action scenes in the movies. John WickAnd Fast & Furious franchises. Here’s how Netflix summarizes the Day Shift story: “Bud Jablonski (Jamie Foxx) is a blue-collar dad hoping to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter Paige (Zion Broadnax) and to stay in the good graces of his estranged wife Jocelyn (Meagan Good).

“His mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income: Hunting and killing vampires.”

Because of “code violations,”Jablonski was expelled from the lucrative international association of vampire hunters. He sells vampire hunters fangs in order to make a living. Jablonski realizes that he must make quick money when his wife Jocelyn threatens him with moving to Florida.

Suffice it to say: The summary doesn’t necessarily inspire a lot of hope, at least in this writer. I am definitely inspired by this Netflix release. The Man From Toronto vibes. But we’ll see.

A Model Family: In this crime thriller, a man named Dong-ha who’s on the verge of bankruptcy and divorce stumbles across a dead man’s money. Finally, some of the most memorable Netflix releases of the year have arguably been the streamer’s true-crime titles. Documentaries like The Puppet Master – Hunting the Ultimate Conman, Bad Vegan, The Tinder SwindlerThe show riveted millions of viewers all over the world.

Netflix could be the next to repeat this feat.

The story: Anthony Templet (17 years old) was from Louisiana and shot Burt Templet in the head in June 2019.

However, the truth isn’t as straightforward as you might think.

Anthony claimed that his father had abused him. One police officer who was investigating the case said that Anthony had not shown any physical abuse. There’s also an abundance of other oddities, like the father’s mania about installing surveillance around his home. Is Anthony convinced he should be in prison? He tells the camera that he does not think so. “because I didn’t do anything wrong.”
