Yvette Mieux, The Time Machine Star, Died at 80

Yvette Mimieux, best known for starring opposite Rod Taylor in 1960’s “The Time Machine,”Has died at age 80.

A family representative said that she died in her sleep, and was discovered dead Tuesday. Deadline.

Mimieus, who was 80 on Jan. 8, had also appeared in the film. “Where The Boys Are (1960),” “Dark of the Sun (1968)”And “The Black Hole (1978).”

Before she was able to break into the limelight in “The Time Machine” Mimieux starred in “Platinum High School (1960)”For this she was nominated by the Golden Globes as Most Promising newcomer.
