SNL alum, who was in the middle of presenting the Best Documentary Feature category, made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head, which she had been shaving due to her alopecia areata. Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shortly afterward and was barred from any Academy-related events for the next ten years. Smith publicly apologised for hitting Rock in September.
