TikToker, who claimed to have been a McDonald’s employee, shared the secrets of how the classic Big Mac is created.
A TikTok account named @essentialmcdonalds uploaded this month aVideoIt has been liked more than 1.9million times and received 6.9 million views as of the publication. More than 638k people follow TikTok to get glimpses inside McDonald’s Kitchen.
According to TikTok, employees use separate toasters for the three buns. This is called the “The Toaster”. “crown,” “club,” “heel.”The top and bottom buns refer to the crown and the heel, respectively, while club refers the middle bread.
Each slice of bread is toasted both sides before being placed in a square takeout box.
“You put your buns in the box. Your crown’s on the top, your heels on the bottom, and your club’s on top of your crown,”TikToker stated. They added that employees also add “one shot”They used Big Mac sauce to the club, and the heel, but instead they used three squirts per sandwich.
On the club and on the heel, they added about a half-ounce lettuce and a handful dehydrated onions. The club was adorned with two pickles, and the heel had a slice of cheese. The meat was then added to the club.
The TikToker stated that the “most challenging”Transferring to the newly-assembled club section is a part of this process.
Insider’s request to speak with a representative of McDonald’s was not immediately answered.
