General Hospital Spoilers: The Truth Behind Sonny Corinthos’s Recent Attacks
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is questioning everyone’s loyalty. He’s been the target of some shootings recently; however, the attack on him during his stay on his Puerto Rican island is what has him rattled.
The assailant was able to get past his security team, which means there is a traitor within his organization, or the shooter is someone he used to be close with. Many fans have wondered if the mystery shooter is Jason Moran, as the popular character is set to return to Port Charles soon. However, actor Steve Burton recently hinted his comeback was not linked to a “popular” fan theory. While Burton could be swerving GH viewers, there’s another idea that could be at play here.
General Hospital Spoilers – Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorn
GH spoilers seem to be teasing that the shooter is male, but it could easily be female. When Sonny brings a woman into his world, she becomes quite privy to everything in his life. Security is no exception to this rule. Sonny has broken a lot of hearts over the years, so perhaps an ex of his is looking for revenge. While it’s likely this is not any of his past loves that currently reside in Port Charles, as he’s on good terms with all of them, could it be an ex, or ex-wife, believed to be dead? There’s also always the chance that Brenda Barrett has turned sour on Sonny, as actress Vanessa Marcil has constantly hinted she would be open to a GH return.
One ex that would certainly have it in for Sonny is Claudia Zacchara (Sarah Joy Brown), and with her mob know-how, she could easily escape Corinthos’s security team. Plus, the two were married, so she’d know the ins and outs of Sonny. She did die after Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) knocked her out and Jason set the cabin she was in on fire; however, this is the land of soaps, and a return could be possible.
GH Spoilers – The John “Jagger” Cates Factor
Then again, with John “Jagger” Cates’s (Adam Harrington) return, and the rivalry that is resurfacing between him and the mob boss, could the shooter be connected to both of them? Karen Wexler (last played by Marie Wilson) was one of John’s greatest loves and she also had a tumultuous past with Sonny. Karen passed away in 2003, after getting hit by a car, but the writers could craft something to bring her back. She also has links to Port Charles via her dad, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), so a comeback could make things interesting for his world, too. John could be on this case for far more personal reasons than he’s letting on.
