Discover The World’s Largest Junkyard With Vintage Cars Of Rockstars!

Old Car City, a 34-acre “piece of art,” in White, Georgia, holds the record for the world’s largest junkyard with over 4,000 cars. The general store turned museum now holds incredible vintage cars on display, like a collection of vintage car-themed toys, and vehicles used in movies.

Elvis Presley’s Last Vehicle – A 1977 Cadillac Seville

Some were owned by household-name actors, musicians, and producers. One such vehicle is a 1977 Cadillac Seville purchased by Elvis Presley. The Seville had other modifications added to it, like a unique two-tone paint job, a CB radio, and a burgundy and silver interior scheme. It was the last car the actor and musician bought, and it was bought within a few months of his untimely death. Presley was a huge fan of Cadillac and owned several in his life – 20 of them are on display at the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum that opened in 1989.

Elvis Presley’s Love for Cadillac

He bought his first Cadillac in 1955 – a bright pink Fleetwood 60 that ignited his unsatiable appetite for vehicles made by the automaker. Presley loved Cadillac so much, that it’s estimated he bought over 200 Cadillacs to give to his friends and family. Aside from Cadillacs, he owned several Harley Davidson motorcycles, a 1962 Ford Thunderbird, and a 1963 Rolls Royce Phantom V.

Elvis Presley’s Eclectic Car Collection

Harboring a love for vehicles of a more eccentric design language, he also owned a 1973 Stutz Blackhawk III. Presley was the first to buy a Blackhawk III, originally designed for Frank Sinatra – though the crooner turned it down. He’d also proudly purchased a 1956 Messerschmitt KR200 – a German microcar with just three wheels and a transparent glass roof. He also owned a 1975 Ferrari Dino and the red MG used in Blue Hawaii.

Presley’s Legacy Cars at Old Car City

Like the 1977 Seville that rests with the 4,400 other cars in Old Car City, not all of Elvis’ former rides ended up in a museum. In January, a 1976 Cadillac Seville formerly owned by the star went to auction in Kissimmee, Florida. The vehicle only had 54,684 miles on it, and adorned all of the star’s ambitious modifications, along with a bill of sale to Presley, and a museum plaque. The car sold for $86,000.

Uncover Vintage Treasures at Old Car City

Old Car City not only boasts cars owned by famous personalities like Elvis Presley but also advertises a car used in a movie starring Andy Griffith and Johnny Cash. The yard has cars ranging from the 1920s to the 1990s. The main building has several cars on display, including pedal cars and toys. Visitors, including many YouTubers, say they could spend hours perusing the cars on display.
