Tyson Fury heavyweight flies out for Deontay Wilder fight The Family Sacrifice..

The world heavyweight champion had to skip a massive milestone for his sons and daughter as he gets deeper into fight camp for his October 9 trilogy with Wilder

Tyson Fury had to miss his son and daughter’s First Communion to head to Las Vegas for training camp this weekend.

Prince Fury and Venezuela, the world heavyweight champion were granted the Catholic rites of passage Sunday afternoon.

The boys had to perform the ceremony without their father as he was getting ready for his three-fight series with Deontay Wilder for the world title. It will take place in three weeks.

Paris Fury’s wife posted an Instagram story showing her family at a dinner after the ceremony. She talked about how bittersweet it was to be without her husband.

The caption for the story read: “Part of being the heavyweight champion, but makes it bittersweet to celebrate without dad”.

“Part of the job, dad’s missed another occasion,” Paris said in the Instagram post. “But we’ve had a nice day dad, first Holy Communion today for the two big ones.”

Paris and his children are still in Morecambe. Tyson, however, has moved to Las Vegas to complete his preparations for the defense of his world title.

Based on their two previous fights, the Brit is highly favored to win against his American counterpart.

Wilder and Fury fought to a controversial draw in 2018. Wilder was dropped twice during the fight. However, Fury outboxed Wilder for 12 rounds in California. Wilder wasn’t awarded the victory.

He didn’t let the judges decide and completely changed his style. He attacked his opponent from the beginning, stopping him in the seventh.

Both were due to complete their contractually obligated trio last summer. But coronavirus restrictions stopped any venues from holding the fight.

Wilder filed litigation to stop Fury from organizing a title fight with Anthony Joshua.

They had agreed to fight July 24, but Fury’s coronavirus outbreak, which included a positive test by the champion, forced the bout to be moved to October 9.

Although Fury was mildly ill, his assistant coach Andy Lee said to Mirror Fighting that Fury will not feel the effects of the covid battle.

“I recently had covid when I was in America,” Lee explained. “I was with Tyson and we both got it and the fight got canceled due to it.

“It took me three to four days to feel tired. I didn’t lose any of my senses or taste.

“Especially as a sportsperson, it would make you have to pull out of a fight.

“Tyson went through the same thing, and I feel fine.”

It was Fury’s second coronavirus diagnosis, with Fury saying that he also tested positive early in the pandemic.

“That’s the second time I have had Covid now, I had it back in the first lockdown and then I got it again,” Fury told IFL TV.

“Covid is no joke that’s for sure, I didn’t feel I was totally dying at that point but I certainly wasn’t going to get cleared to fight because I was still positive.”
