Tina Turner Reveals She Was On the Verge of Tears on Her 1st Wedding Night with Husband Ike!

Iconic singer Tina Turner now 81, had many hidden and unbelievable truths about her first marriage, which she shared a few years ago. Her wedding night was difficult. Here is what she told us.

Tina is often remembered with her first husband Ike Turner. He ran a band for several years and had a few backup dancers. Before their separation, they divorced.

Tina found freedom after leaving her husband. She established her career and regained confidence. Erwin Bach was the man who changed her entire life.

TINA’S INITIAL MARITAL WOES

It was no secret that Ike, her first husband, abused her physically, mentally, and emotionally. The famous singer and band creator was publicly unfaithful, violent in his home, and did not care about his ex-wife’s feelings.

Tina shared some harsh facts about her first day of marriage in 2018. In 1962, the couple traveled to Tijuana in Mexico for a cheap wedding. She said that the ceremony was not close to her dream wedding.

She was expecting a wonderful honeymoon and a memorable night with her husband, but she was horrified to see some explicit content.

Ike took her to a cheap brothel — “a filthy place” to view something she termed as nasty, unattractive, and provocative between a male and female performer. Tina was distraught and on the brink of tears, but she could not leave. She said:

“There was no escape. We couldn’t leave until Ike was ready, and he was having a fine time.”

The man was oblivious to her feelings, and even if he noticed, did not care. Ike later defended his brutality by saying that Tina was there to continue such treatments.

Although they were together for sixteen years, she was in love with Craig and they never had a child. Ike adopted Tina’s son from another marriage.

When she decided to leave the abusive marriage in 1976, she did, without requesting anything other than her freedom, and in 1978, the divorce was finalized.

Tina’s musical brilliance allowed her to start a solo career and be popular without her husband. She made a £200 million records sale.

Ike, 76 years old, died from a drug overdose in 2007. He began to regret his youth and tried to find ways to change his past and to redeem himself.

OTHER TRAGEDIES

Leaving her marriage bought her freedom but took away her time to be more present for Craig. Tina blamed her husband for leaving her, but she also said that she was the best mom of her children at the time.

It was difficult to accept her new reality without her son. Tina decided to keep the memory of her son alive and to remember every moment with him.

TINA TURNER’S SECOND MARRIAGE

After a failed marriage, the singer maintained celibacy for a year before meeting her current husband, who is 16 years younger. He was the first person she saw and it was love at its best.

They met at the airport and rode in the same vehicle, and Tina admitted that she was smitten by his looks and admired him. They got married after being together for more than 20 years.

Bach was supportive of his wife. He even donated a kidney to save their lives after she had felt that it was the end.
