The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will serve as the epilogue of phase 4

Holiday Special for Guardians of the GalaxyDisney Plus should be available in December, though Marvel has not yet released a release date. When it arrives, however, the Guardians Holiday SpecialThe final adventure in Phase 4 will be this.

The news comes from James Gunn directly, who confirmed on Twitter that the holiday special will be the current phase’s epilogue. Be aware, Some spoilers may be found below.

Marvel revealed Phase 5 and Phase 6 of the MCU less than two months ago at Comic-Con 2022. Kevin Feige announced all titles in Phase 5 as well as three important films in Phase 6, including two. There was some confusion as Marvel will have two specials on Disney Plus. Wakanda Forever Quantumania. Guardians Holiday SpecialThis is the final piece of MCU content that has been released in theaters and streaming. Quantumania: Ant-Man and The Wasp.

All of this in mind Gunn was asked on Twitter by someone to describe Phase Guardians Holiday SpecialIt is part of. The writer/director That the Disney Plus show is the epilogue to Phase 4, That’s quite an important detail, as it implies the short GuardiansThe MCU will place more importance on adventure than we imagined.

In 2005, we last saw Thor and the Guardians (Chris Hemsworth). Love and ThunderThey will be tackling various issues throughout the universe. The Comic-Con trailer that leaked showed that they’ll meet Gamora (Zoe Saldana) in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. And it’ll happen much faster and easier than we expected.

The return to the Holiday SpecialGunn also shared teasers via Twitter. He stated that the action would be in Guardians Holiday SpecialIt is canonical, and the short film is “absolutely” a must-watch. “There’s a lot of big information in there,”Without providing details, the director stated that they had no idea.

Gunn however, noted that he did not know. Vol. 3From the Comic-Con presentation, MCU Phase 5 was complete. It seems that this contradicts the epilogue. Or, to put it another way, Guardians Holiday Special can’t feel like the end of a phase if Gunn never got instructions to write it that way.

Consider, however, that Avengers 5 Avengers 6The cap will be Multiverse Saga, we shouldn’t expect other sort of epilogues for the various phases in it. That’s because Marvel’s AvengersSagas will always be ended in movies.

What happens at Disney Plus Guardians special?

The Guardians Holiday Special plot, it hasn’t leaked yet. Rumours about increased secrecy in the area suggest that it may not leak. Guardians 3.

Gunn did hint that some people have already read the script and are very excited about it. The script will also introduce new mysterious characters. Separately leaks claimed that some of this action will take place on Earth. We saw it! PhotosFrom the set that teased even a small amount Eternals Easter egg.

That said, it’s unclear when the action occurs in relation to the other MCU Phase 4 titles. These stories aren’t always chronological, and we’re often left to find out where the newest title fits on the MCU timeline.

With that in mind, we can’t help but wonder why the Guardians would return to Earth in the Holiday Special.
