Ted White, a legendary stuntman, has died today at the age of just 96, his son announced.

This actor is best known for portraying Jason Voorhees, the character he played in 1984’s film “Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter,”He passed away peacefully in his Southern home CaliforniaFriday

Many tributes have been paid to the star, who was associated with Clark Gable, John Wayne, and Richard Boone.

Confirming his dad’s death today, Ted’s son, also Ted, told Fox News Digital: “He is a tough man. Honesty and telling the truth, no matter how much you like it.

“The last of the blood and guts guys.”

Jeri Bayouth was his wife.

“A tender heart and a very generous heart. He took a lot of risks and a lot of adventures.”

She also added: “He loved the picture business and the stunt guys, and there were lots of actors and actresses that I knew that were phenomenal,”Ted was the second.

“So he appreciated, you know, the time he spent at it, and he appreciated the business.”

White was also a former Marine.

He attended the University of Oklahoma before he went West.

Ted shared that the star of the late show was also friends with President Ronald Reagan. He would even go to his haircuts.

“We had people over for dinner that were pretty famous, but he didn’t care about all of that,”Ted said.

Ted also mentioned that his father was fearless. He would recall times when he went to Daniel Boone’s set with him. He would get hurt from stunts but not be afraid.

“One day he hit a corner of the pad doing a high fall, and the next thing you know, they were taking him away in an ambulance, and he was waving at me as he was going away,”Ted.

Sean Clark, Film Producer, has written a touching tribute to Ted. Facebook.

“He was my adopted grandpa and hands down the best storyteller you could have ever met,”He wrote.

“I am going to miss you immensely and those steak dinners we always had. Also teasing you about your red, white & blue banner that made you look like you were running for President.”

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeri, his wife, and his children. It was an honor to be your friend.

White refused to be credited. “Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter,”It was not a sequel when it came out.

Later, he became involved with documentaries and conventions related to the horror industry.
