Le Sserafim’s Yunjin and Chaewon have suffered injuries in a minor car accident and will be unable to appear in music show promotions this week, including Music Bank and M Countdown.
The rookie K-pop group’s label, Source Music, told fans the group, who made their comeback with EP Antifragile this week, would have to cancel music show performances and reschedule fan signing events.
Accidental car crash leaves Yunjin and Chaewon injured
On the evening of October 19, Source Music informed fans of Yunjin and Chaewon’s accident.
The label’s official statement on Weverse read: “On Wednesday, October 19, the vehicle carrying Le Sserafim members Kim Chaewon and Huh Yunjin was involved in a minor car accident. Thankfully, none of the members or the staff on board were significantly injured and they immediately visited a hospital where they received diagnosis and treatment.”
The label added: “Both members acquired mild muscle pain and bruises and the medical staff advised them to receive conservative treatment for a while.”
Twitter users send their best wishes to Yunjin and Chaewon for a speedy recovery
Twitter users are flooding Le Sserafim with support messages for their two most loved K-pop rookie stars.
One fan Posted: “Get well soon, Chaewon and Yunjin! Your health and safety is the top priority.”
In another emotional tweet a second fan said he’d be “waiting for you guys”:

Le Sserafim’s comeback with Antifragile
While Le Sserafim won’t be able to promote new track Antifragile because of the accident, the music charts are showing the new EP has already garnered major success.
According to Korean reportsThe album was sold over 400,000 copies in just one week after it was released. Antifragile had sold over 600,000. This makes it one of the most popular K-pop rookie albums.
Antifragile, the title track of the album, has been viewed more than 33,000,000 times on YouTube in three days.
