Netflix has yet to reveal the exact cost of its advertising-supported plan.
At the moment, the cheapest tier is Basic which costs £6.99 / $9.99, so it’ll obviously need to be a couple of pounds cheaper than that to be deemed worthwhile.
Experts previously told Central Recorder that they expect it’ll cost about £5.49 / $7.99 in the UK and US.
Will I lose certain features from Netflix’s ad program?
You’ll soon lose the privilege of enjoying a movie or TV show uninterrupted.
According to a developer, you may not be able to download movies or shows offline.
A huge perk is the ability to watch shows offline. This allows users to save their favorite shows directly to mobile devices so that they can view them even if there’s no internet connection.
You must have the Standard package at least to access HD content. The current Basic tier does not even have this option.
If you are thinking about dropping from the highest two, you will also be losing quality in terms of picture quality.
