Gina Michelle was simply taking her daughter to school when she came across a man with the kindest heart. He was intent on instilling love, encouragement, and motivation in these kid’s hearts.
Taking to Facebook in 2018, mother Gina Michelle, mother of 4 children under ten years old, shared a beautiful story. Her oldest Audrey introduced her to an elderly man spreading love throughout the community.
Michelle wrote that Audrey chose to ride to the drop-off location instead of the usual spot around the corner when she dropped off her daughter. Her child opposed her decision.
Audrey expressed that if she were not dropped off the corner, she would miss the 94-year-old man who motivates all her fellow pupils before they walk into school. The young girl stated:
“He talks about kindness and gives us advice and fist bumps! It’s the best part of the day!”
The curious mom chose to drive past this man and said that what she witnessed was incredibly heartwarming, describing the elderly gentleman’s encouraging gestures. She stated that she and other people should strive to show this kindness.
Going by the remarks on Michelle’s Facebook post, it appears that this individual was more popular than she may have expected, with many informing the mother that the elderly gentlemen’s name is Wally. One commenter stated:
“Wally is also a part of the school’s peer friendship group and assists in many functions. He is such a joy!”
A person in the comment section also claimed his son asserted that this kind-hearted human is a veteran. This share has received less than 400 reactions.
In one recorded incident, the Good Samaritan could be seen engaging in his habitual fist-pumping. He exclaimed that God and he both loved the students as he walked off.
The custodian froze, seemingly unsure of what was happening.
Audrey’s mother also said that the 94-year old man reflected the values she tries to instill in her kids. The parent of 4 said that she discourages her kids from using negative words or sentences.
Wally reflects a likely habit at schools which appear to be spaces of kindness, open hearts, and generosity. In another case of educational inspiration, a hardworking school custodian couldn’t hold back emotions as teachers surprised him with an incredible gift.
A clip was shared by the school via its Facebook page. Chris Jackson walked with two educators towards a car as one turned around and handed him the keys.
The caretaker seemed confused at first but then began pacing around in delight and appreciation. The custodian continued to demonstrate his disbelief.
It was discovered that Jackson was going through a challenging period and had to walk to the building every day and so they made a plan for their co-worker. It takes only kindness to make a difference in someone’s life or their day.
