Missouri Amazon Driver Found Dead In Yard, Possibly Mauled in Dogs

A Missouri Amazon driver’s body, possibly mauled by dogs, was found in someone’s yard on Monday, according to published reports.

Scott Childers, Ray County SheriffKCTV local outletAround 8:30 p.m. Monday, they received a phone call regarding an Amazon van that had been left outside a residence for several hour.

According to the outlet, when authorities arrived, they found a deceased male in someone’s front yard, appearing to be the Amazon driver.

Childers was informed that two dogs were present at the scene, one of which had been aggressive towards deputies and the medical staff, but they had returned inside the house, according the outlet.

According to KCTV authorities saw a dog door with blood.

Childers claimed that an initial investigation has shown that animal bites are a factor in Amazon worker’s deaths. However, as the investigation continues, it is not possible to confirm whether the driver was killed by the dogs.

Per local outlet KMBCOn the spot, a deputy shot both dogs.

Amazon released the following statement: “We’re deeply saddened by tonight’s tragic incident involving a member of our Amazon family and will be providing support to the team and the driver’s loved ones. We are assisting law enforcement in their investigation,” According to ABC News.

The driver’s name is not being released at this time and the authorities are working to notify his family, per KCTV.
