Shocking Shooting Incident at The Belle Vue Pub
A MAN has been charged over a shooting outside a busy South London pub as cops hunt for a second suspect. Met Police swarmed The Belle Vue pub in Clapham Common at around 5pm on Friday after a firearm – believed to be a shotgun – was set off.
Arrest Made in Connection to The Belle Vue Pub Shooting
Two women, 27 and 36, were injured in the shooting and a 27-year-old man was hurt when he was hit by the moped. Keymarni King has now been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life/enabling another to do so, aggravated vehicle taking, and injury caused by an accident. He was also charged on Monday with two counts of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
Police Chase Results in Injuries Outside The Belle Vue Pub
The 18-year-old suspect will face Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday while police work to trace a second suspect. According to police, officers were chasing two people riding a moped who had failed to stop in Clapham on Friday before the moped collided with a 27-year-old pedestrian and crashed “a short while later”. One of the suspects was carrying a shotgun and as the pair fled on foot, they dropped the firearm.
Weapon Discharged During The Belle Vue Pub Incident
On hitting the ground, it discharged and two women in the street, aged 27 and 36, were injured by shotgun pellets, cops said. Police added the women were “not deliberately targeted”. The pedestrian and two injured women have since been released from the hospital.
