Laurence Fox said that he was positive for coronavirus. He is now treating the condition with the controversial drug, ivermectin.
Former London mayoral candidate and actor, announced that he had contracted this illness at the weekend. He shared a photo on Twitter of a positive side flow test. “crap”.
He wrote: “In other news, felt shivery and crap yesterday. Turns out I have been visited by Lord Covid at last and have the Omnicold (if the LFT is to be believed!) On the #Ivermectin, saline nasal rinse, quercetin, paracetamol and ibruprofen. More man flu than Wu-flu at the moment.”
Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic medication, is used primarily on animals but also for parasitic worms in some humans. It has not been proven to be an effective treatment against coronavirus.

The FDA has, for example, stated: “While there are approved uses for ivermectin in people and animals, it is not approved for the prevention or treatment of Covid-19”.
Other doctors also took to Twitter to warn against the misuse of Twitter:
It is still being sold by Joe Rogan, who said he was using the drug when he tested positive to coronavirus in September 2021. US broadcaster Tucker CarlsonFox News’s host had promoted the drug as well. UFC president Dana WhiteRogan also said that he had taken the drug, after he was advised by Rogan. Rogan tested positive for the drug.
Fox was a vocal opponent of vaccines and lockdowns, and used it as a key pillar in his mayoral campaign. He posted a recent photo in which he was wearing a top that stated the following. “no vaccine needed, I have an immune system”He even wrote an anti-mask song. This didn’t go down very well.
We do hope that he feels better soon. However, the ibuprofen may be more effective.
