Facebook’s $725 million payout is available to current and past users. The social media website’s parent company Meta agreed to pay for the settlement in December 2022. The settlement comes at the end of a longstanding legal battle Meta fought after data of Facebook’s 87 million users was made accessible to Cambridge Analytica. It is getting closer to 2023, when the deadline for submitting your claim form in order to receive the Facebook settlement.

Facebook User’s Privacy Settlement Website The last day to file a claim will be Friday, August 25th, 2023 until 11:59 pm. Those who were the platform’s users from May 24, 2007, and December 22, 2022, are eligible to get a payment under the lawsuit.
On Thursday, 7 September 2018, the final hearing will be held. On Thursday, September 7, a judge is likely to approve the settlement details for Facebook.
The claimant can select how they would like to be paid. They can choose between a direct bank deposit, Mastercard prepaid, PayPal, Zelle and Venmo.

You can search for the Claim form for the settlement on Facebook User Privacy Settlement’s website. You can find the form under Submit Claim.
On the form you must provide details about your residence, name, email, and phone. Select the method of payment you want to receive. Your claim can be edited up until August 25, 2018.
Facebook users should also be aware of people who ask for personal details and information such as social security numbers and other sensitive data when claiming a settlement. Angeion Group, LLC, the settlement administrator, is responsible for all Facebook claims.

Settlement administrators do not give an estimation of the money that will be paid to each claimant. It is noted on the website that this will be determined by how many valid claims are received. The length of time someone has used Facebook will be a factor.
