Isabela Merced Drops Big Superman: Legacy Tease On Social Media

Isabela Merced created quite the buzz when she took to social media to share a photo from the “Superman: Legacy” table read. The image showcased her name placard, hinting at her role as Hawkgirl, and featured an intriguing Superman “S” emblem. While the picture initially appeared on her Instagram stories, it was Culture Crave that ultimately uploaded it to Twitter. Many fans were quick to point out the resemblance between the “S” in the logo and the one featured in the “Kingdom Come” storyline, written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Alex Ross.

Is James Gunn Planning a “Kingdom Come” Adaptation?

Isabela Merced’s social media tease isn’t the only hint that James Gunn may have plans for the “Kingdom Come” storyline in his new DC cinematic universe. Back in November 2022, Gunn shared an image from the comic book arc on Twitter along with the caption, “Making plans.” This led some fans to speculate that Gunn might be eyeing “Kingdom Come” for a future adaptation. However, with the recent revelation of the “S” emblem’s connection to “Superman: Legacy,” it’s possible that elements of the “Kingdom Come” storyline could be making their way to the big screen much sooner than expected.
