In the exclusive clip for Season 4, Episode 8, Alliya briefly discusses Shawn and her friend Jackie’s tension over Jackie’s “personal questions about his financials.”
Diving Deeper into Alliya and Shawn’s Relationship Dilemma
The swimsuit designer soon reveals in the clip that Jackie and Shawn’s growing feud isn’t their only problem. During Alliya’s hair appointment, Jackie asks Alliya how their sex life has been since he’s been in Brazil.
After a bit of hesitation, Alliya revealed they hadn’t been having sex “at all.” She then shares the reason for their drought, which has to do with their — plot twist — open relationship.

“It’s more like I was avoiding it because, before having sex and stuff, we need to first have conversations [about] my concerns about the open relationship,” Alliya tells Jackie.

In the scene, Jackie’s face goes from understanding to pure shock after listening to Alliya admit, for the first time, that she and Shawn can date other people if they choose.

While we must wait to see what Jackie says to Alliya after her reveal (the clip ends after she asks, “Do you have an open relationship?), we can confirm her opinion doesn’t break Alliya and Shawn’s union. In a previous episode, Alliya and Shawn got engaged on her 25th birthday.
In the clip, she also reveals that she’s planning to move to the U.S. to be with her fiance.
