SHE was a successful airline hostess but gave up her dream after she met the love and made it her profession.
Holly Joyce was not only able to change her career, but she also met Dougie in September 2019.

Holly, Dougie being a traveller, had to learn how to live with a completely new set of rules. This included not being allowed to go out alone and accepting that she was not allowed to take her husband. “what he says goes”.

“He wouldn’t let me go to parties without him. We’d always go together.”
“He’s the man, so he can go out if he wants, but I’m the woman so I can only go out with him.”
Holly is permitted to shop or go to the salon by herself, but Dougie is not. “very protective and worries about my safety if I’m out alone”.
“I don’t feel like I’m missing out because if I want to do something I just ask Dougie and we can do it together,”She insisted.
“I’d rather be with him anyway.”
After they liked each other’s photographs, they met online and began to chat over direct messages.
Dougie and Dougie met for the first time in Manchester, March 2020. Dougie knew in seconds that he would be back. “marry this woman”.
He popped the question at their daughter Oceanna’s gender reveal party in December 2020 and the pair wed in an extravagant £60,000 wedding in July 2022.
Holly’s family was initially uncertain about Holly’s relationship to Dougie. This was especially because he was her first traveller and a professional, bare-knuckle fighter. But they soon fell in love with him.
“My family were worried at first, but as soon as they saw how well he looks after me and how respectful he is, they soon approved,”Holly said.

“He’s an amazing father – his family is everything to me.
Dougie’s kindness to his mother was something I remember so well. He is so respectful of his mother and never returns to her.
“He buys her designer shoes and flowers.
“The way a man speaks to his mum says a lot, and Dougie has always been so loving and respectful towards her.”
Holly also had to learn to wait on her man foot and hand.
“Dougie expects the house to be perfect, and to be looked after when he comes home from work,”She said.
“He doesn’t even make his own beverages.”
“It’s very different from my previous relationships, and it took some getting used too at first. But he takes care of me and provides for my family so I’m happy to oblige.
“If he’s happy, I’m happy.”
