Swimply, a vacation rental service, is offering $100,000 a year for the position, which is the first of its kind for the company.

“As someone with a passion for pools, your primary job will be to travel to, cannonball into and review as many pools as possible in all 50 states,” the job description reads.

The chief pools officer will also be required to create content along the way.

The position is described as Swimply’s “primary expert and voice on how to find the best aquatic escapes nestled in America’s backyards.”

“If you enjoy swimming, social media and sunbathing on a Tuesday afternoon, this seasonal position is a high dive into your dream career,” Swimply said in a press release.

The chief pools officer can expect to be “traveling to and reviewing pools in all 50 states, and getting paid $100,000 to do it.”

The compensation starts off as a base pay of $50,000, to cover work-related expenses such as travel.

The remaining half of the payment is determined “in performance bonuses based on content engagement and the number of pools visited throughout the term.”

Swimply laid out the expectations for what they’re calling a “dream job.”

In addition to going for a dip in all 50 states – the chief pools officer will also make media appearances representing the company.

The employee will also be expected to create some media of their own.

“Produce engaging social media content, including Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube vlogs,” Swimply said.

“[Social media content] that showcase the journey of becoming the preeminent expert on the best pools across America, in real time.”

The application process takes place on social media, with the Swimply’s CEO, Derek Callow, hand-picking the best fit.

“To apply, hopeful swimmers are invited to book a Swimply pool near them and create a video resume showing how they’d highlight all the pools they’d experience during the summer adventure,” they said.

“Applications will be accepted on TikTok or Instagram Reels and must tag @swimply and use the hashtag #SwimplyDreamJob.

“Top applicants will be invited to interview with Swimply’s CEO and conduct a ‘Swimming Screen Test.’

Applications will be accepted until June 15, 2024.
