Gamora is where in Thor Love and Thunder.

With a sprawling universe that features a whopping 29 films and seven TV series to date, it can be hard to keep track of everyone’s whereabouts in the MCU – and that’s an issue some fans face following the arrival of Thor: Love And Thunder.

The film starts after Avengers: Endgame. Thor joins the Guardians Of The Galaxy, saving the universe together when necessary.

However, there’s a notable absence from the Guardians team as Gamora, Peter Quill’s love interest, is nowhere to be seen, which has left viewers asking where she could be during Thor: Love And Thunder.

Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy team up in Love And Thunder

Thor, who is a member the Guardians Of The Galaxy at the beginning of Love And Thunder, travels with them after being invited to join their group at Avengers: Endgame.

The new-look gang continues their mission to travel the universe and save the galaxy from impending destruction until Lady Sif calls them with a distress message warning of Gorr The God Butcher.

Thor, fearing New Asgard’s people and imminent danger, is forced to take his own path and leave the Guardians in order to send another distress signal to him.

Gamora is where in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Gamora remains alive in Thor, Love And Thunder, but she is currently off on her own adventures in the galaxy.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy add a lot to the first scenes of Thor, Love And Thunder. Gamora is not part of the team.

Because Gamora’s version of Gamora survived the events in Avengers: Endgame, her absence is due to the fact that the Gamora Peter and the Guardians had previously known about.

This is because Gamora survived the Guardians’ time travels from 2014 to become part of their dysfunctional familial.

Peter is thrilled to be reunited with his love during the last battle of Endgame. However, Gamora doesn’t know who he really is because she hasn’t met him at this point in her life.

Despite not being ‘his’Gamora: Peter still longs to reunite with Gamora. He can be seen using the scanner in Endgame to try and find her after her disappearance following the climactic fight.

Gamora will make a comeback in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3

Gamora remains, despite her absence in Thor: Love and Thunder. Zoe Saldana’s character is confirmedTo be featured in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3.

It will be fascinating to see how she will interact with the Guardians. This Gamora was only recently rescued from Thanos, and will remain the same ruthless killer he trained her as with Zoe Saldana. ACE Comic Con: SayingIn 2019 Seattle she “wants to explore a bad Gamora”.

It will now be up to Peter Quill, the Guardians, to win her trust again.

Gamora will appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in December 2022, but this is before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 arrives in May 2023.

According to James Gunn, the fascinating entry into the MCU will be canon and will lay some of the groundwork for the third Guardians film so it stands to reason the Holiday Special will be the staging for Gamora’s long-awaited reunion with the Guardians.

Marvel Studios‘ Thor: Love And Thunder is out now in cinemas after releasing in the UK on Thursday, July 7, 2022 and following in the US on July 8.
