In the final of 2022 Women’s European Championships, England women were forced to play extra against Germany at Wembley.

Record crowds viewed the European Championships game at Wembley, where there were 87.192. It was truly a rollercoaster ride.

Ella Toone of Manchester United was substituted and scored a brilliant chip in the second period. She had gotten on to Keira Walsh’s smart through ball.

Although the goal was scored, Wembley Stadium’s roof was lifted. The Lionesses needed to be aware of the danger posed by the Germans who were very close to scoring soon afterward and certainly would have done so if it wasn’t for Mary Earps’s reflexes.

Germany continued to press but were denied by Leah Williamson’s key blocks. However, Lina Magull scored from the near post for the equalizer on 80 minutes.

This was the second goal that the Lionesses conceded during the tournament.

The game had to go into extra time after neither team was able to score another goal during the 90-minute period. Gary Lineker pointed out that maybe it was a sign of good fortune.

The Lionesses were tired, but they found a second wind when Chloe Kelly, Manchester City’s forward, managed to score the ball to make it 2-1. This caused absolute chaos in Wembley.
