Donald Sutherland requires no formal introduction. He was born in 1935 and was 32 years old when he portrayed Vernon L. Pinkley in the movie. Initially known for his work in television during the 1960s, this role marked his entrance into high-profile productions. Since then, Sutherland has established himself as a versatile character actor in Hollywood, appearing in a wide range of films such as “Animal House,” “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” “Don’t Look Now,” “Ad Astra,” and “The Hunger Games.” In 1995, he received an Emmy for his performance in the miniseries “Citizen X” and was honored at the Oscars in 2018.
