Y&R spoilers for the week of May 27-31 suggest Diane Abbott’s concern over Jack Abbott’s sobriety will grow. She’s still quite upset about his pill-popping episode to save Nikki Newman, and if he does anything that makes her think he could fall off the wagon again, she’ll be both worried and beyond furious. He placed his sobriety, and life, on the line to convince his ex to go to rehab, and that still doesn’t sit well with his wife. As such, could Diane issue an ultimatum to Jack: stay completely away from Nikki, or divorce is on the horizon?

Y&R spoilers suggest that Nikki is officially back in the land of Genoa City, with a successful stint in rehab. She is clean, sober, and stronger than ever. This doesn’t mean she never has to worry about “wanting” alcohol, it just means she has the coping tools and a strong mentality to refrain from it. Diane’s sure to learn that Nikki has returned to GC, and she may be concerned about Nikki’s bond with Jack. After all, he is the reason she’s clean and sober. With that being said, Diane may also reason that Jack no longer has to play “hero” to his ex by being her AA Sponsor. He’s done his job and it’s time to move on. As such, Diane may issue Jack an ultimatum: stay away from Nikki or risk a divorce. After all, not only did her premonition about him falling off the wagon because of Nikki come true, but he risked his life and family in the process. Diane is worried about Jack and Nikki’s bond, and she’s not wrong to be concerned. Jack crossed a line to help Nikki, and now he needs to work on repairing the damage this has caused to his marriage.

In addition, Victor Newman also has told Jack to stay away from his wife, and Diane may feel that in order to keep the peace in GC, Jack should obey these orders. Still, drama may surface when Jack agrees to stay away from Nikki, yet he and Ms. Newman’s orbits continually cross. With Jordan recently being handed over to the authorities, there’s no telling what havoc she could bring if she escapes for the umpteenth time, and something could happen to Nikki, where Jack is placed in a situation where he “needs” to play the hero.
