DESTINY 2’s most popular mode is PvE, but PvP still has its own community of dedicated players.

For PvE you will need a different set of skills. Some weapons work better in Crucible and Trials of Osiris, than in Nightfall or Raid.

There are plenty of great weapon choices in Destiny 2.

You need to have the right loadout if you want to achieve more success in these modes of Destiny 2.

Here are the top five weapon choices for Destiny 2 Nightfall and Raid.

Ace of Spades, Exotic Hand Cannon

Hand Cannons are popular in PvP battles, and it’s easy to see why. There are many options available, but Ace of Spades is the best.

The Memento Mori intrinsic property of the Memento Mori supercharges your next shot after you kill or reload. This extra firepower can really make a difference.

This trait keeps your radar active while you aim down the sights. Firefly also aids in explosive headshots.

The downside is that the gun’s exotic status means that it can not be paired with another high-powered exotic in another slot.

However, it’s easy to pick up; just grab an exotic cipher and the materials and head over to the Monument to Lost Lights, to pick yours up.

Pair it with a Memory of Cayde cloth on a knife-juggling Hunter to pay a lasting tribute to Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6.

Dead Man’s Tale (Exotic Scout Rifle).

This one can be unlocked using the Presage mission to the abandoned space station. It’s well worth it.

This Scout Rifle has the Cranial Spike intrinsic ability, which makes it a satisfying and efficient Scout Rifle with bonus damage for precision hits.

While PvE can be very entertaining as you land crit aftercrit, the added firepower in PvP can make all the difference in the world.

Scout Rifles may not be as popular as Hand Cannons or Shotguns, but if this is your weapon type of choice, the Dead Man’s Tale is for you.

It can be quite hard to get your hands on, but if it’s already in your arsenal, give this one a whirl.

Felwinter’s Lie (“Legendary Shotgun”)

Legendary shotguns are a common weapon type on any PvP list. Destiny 2 is well-known for its close combat and stealth play.

While The Chaperone is a common choice in this category, we prefer Felwinter’s Lie.

This perk is called the Shot Package. It allows you to reduce the spread of your shot, by aiming down.

Its handling is excellent and can be purchased at Monument to Lost Lights.

Chaperone lovers will have to wait until an exotic quest drops at the end of a Crucible Run.

Telesto (Exotic Fusion Rifle)

Telesto has many fans. It also has dedicated devotees due to its perk Unplanned Reprieve.

Its projectiles stick on to walls and enemies, then explode with a slight delay.

Bungie had to disable the weapon because of its uniqueness. However, it is back now with slightly modified attributes.

If you don’t want to wield the weapon that literally broke the game, then there are plenty of options for Fusion Rifle fans.

Although Null Composure, Plug One and Main Ingredient are suitable alternatives, none of them feel as satisfying as Telesto.

Gjallarhorn (Exotic Rocket Launcher).

This is one of Destiny 2’s most iconic weapons, and Bungie taught it some new tricks for its 30th anniversary.

Any Rocket Launcher can be used in Crucible and Trails, in any of your less-used weapon slots.

The Gjallarhorn has the best Wolfpack Rounds, which release extra projectiles upon contact.

These can be used to do additional damage in PvP.
