Alan Jackson is gearing up for one final epic journey. The legendary country music icon has officially announced that his highly anticipated Last Call: One More for the Road Tour, which initially kicked off in 2022 but was put on hold due to health concerns, will mark his farewell tour.

Journey Towards Retirement

“Fans who attend my concerts know they’ll experience the songs that have shaped my identity – the timeless classics they hold dear,” Jackson expressed, according to Taste of Country. He further elaborated, “Having toured for over three decades, my daughters are now adults, we have a grandchild with another one on the way… and I’m relishing the moments spent at home.” Despite this, he affirmed, “My devoted fans are always ready for a great time, and I’m determined to deliver an unforgettable show for this Last Call.”

Health Struggles and Halted Tour

In 2021, Jackson candidly shared his battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, described by the Mayo Clinic as “a group of inherited disorders impacting nerve function primarily in the extremities.” Although this inherited condition is non-life-threatening and does not affect life expectancy, it is currently incurable.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by the disease, Jackson confessed, “There’s no cure for it, but it has been affecting me for quite some time. The symptoms are becoming increasingly apparent.” He also revealed his family history with the disorder, stating, “I see myself stumbling on stage. Balancing has become a struggle, even in front of the microphone, making me feel uneasy.” Regrettably, complications arising from the disease compelled Jackson to pause the Last Call: One More for the Road Tour in 2022.

As we anticipate Alan Jackson’s final tour, fans are gearing up to witness a musical maestro bid adieu in a blaze of glory. Stay tuned for more updates on this historical musical journey!
